technical requirements
Venues must comply with technical requirements. Promoter is responsible for verifying compliance with technical requirements. As a general rule, most "industry standard" equipment will probably be acceptable, but I may ask that off-branded equipment be swapped out prior to the event. Please inquire if equipment is not listed below. I can provide my own mixer and turn tables at additional cost.
I am a proud user of Serato Scratch Live and prefer the vinyl format.
Mixers must have a split cue capabilities and separate cue and monitor level indicators. Assignable cross-faders preferred. Preferred brands in order of preference are: Pioneer, Raine, Numark and Gemini. No battle mixers, please.
CD players must have pitch control, instant start capabilities, frame by frame search, etc. Preferred brands in order of preference are Denon, Pioneer, and Numark. No American Audio, American DJ, GLI or Gemini, please.
Turntables must be Technics 1200 only and oriented with the on/off switch at the 8 o'clock (lower left) position. Please advise if stylii are not available; I can provide my own.
DJ booth must have separate monitor(s) no further than six to ten feet away from the booth and oriented between the 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions. Separate volume control is required.
